@Nevins Memorial Library
*The Book Club to be Named Later* Grades 7-9
This BRAND NEW book discussion group will meet once a month and snacks will be served. The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 16 at 4 pm where we will come up with a better name, pick up our first book (The Running Dream ) and eat! Future meetings will be October 21, November 18 and December 16 – all at 4pm. Hope to see you there!
*Book Babble* Grades 9-12
This book discussion group meets on the first Thursday of each month, and pizza & soda will be served. The first meeting will be Thursday, September 4that 7pm where we will pick up our first book (The Death of Bees). Future meetings will be October 2, November 6, and December4 – all at 7pm. Come join in the fun (and not completely book-related) conversations!
*TAG: Teen Advisory Group* Grades 7-12
This is YOUR chance to make a difference at the library! TAG members play a big part in what happens at the library for teens – from ideas for new books & resources to decorating our Teen Space. Also, TAG members earn points that are turned in for prizes at the end of the year. Meetings this fall will be on Mondays at 4pm on September 8, October 20, November 10, and December 8. Snacks will be served.
*Teen Writing Club* Grades 7-12
Do you have a story to tell or a poem to share? Do you enjoy writing fan-fiction? This is the group for you! We will work together with different writing prompts and exercises and have fun writing whatever it is that we need to write. We will meet Thursday evenings at 7pm on September 18, October 16, November 20, and December 18.
*Teen Craft* Grades 7-12
Do you enjoy doing crafts? Or maybe you’d like to try something out for the first time among friends? Join us once a month for Teen Crafts on Monday afternoons from 4-5pm. Meetings this fall will be September 22, October 27, November 24, and December 22.
ABOUT US - The Nevins Memorial Library's Young Adult Department serves Methuen teens in grades 7 through 12. The YA Department, which is currently located on the Main Floor at the Library, offers teens a variety of materials, including fiction, graphic novels and comics, current magazines, video games, DVDs, and programs.
